frequently asked questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How are we different?

ACOS and GSE aren’t contractors or PPA brokers. We don’t act as middlemen, instead, we directly invest our own managed capital as developers & owners. As such, we view all of our projects as long-term relationships.

  2. How can the project have a zero up-front cost to the property owner?

GSE bears the upfront expense of system construction and is repaid through time by selling electricity to the property owner at a reduced rate.

  3. How long is the PPA agreement?

PPAs are typically structured between 15 and 25 years, depending on the needs of the business.

  4. What happens at the end of the PPA term?

At the end of the PPA, ownership reverts to the property owner.

  5. How long will the system last?

Solar generation technology is extremely reliable and involves no moving parts. With minor periodic maintenance, systems should last for decades.

  6. Who maintains the system once the terms of the PPA are met?

As owner, GSE will constantly monitor the system to ensure optimal performance. All maintenance or upkeep is at our expense for the duration of the PPA agreement.

  7. How big are the savings to the property owner?

Each location is a bit different, with site-specific engineering and utility requirements. Regardless, savings are meaningful and substantial from day one.
